Waves of heavy rain led to flooded freeways and an increase in accidents in Southern California this week, California Highway Patrol officials said.
Between midnight and 4 a.m. Sunday the CHP reported 41 collisions in Los Angeles County, compared with 28 collisions during the same period a week ago Monday. Flooding closed all but the express lanes of the northbound and southbound Harbor 110 Freeway from Redondo Beach Boulevard to the Glen Anderson (105) Freeway in Gardena.
Flooding was also reported as debris filled drains on the Ventura (134) Freeway transition to the northbound Golden State (5) freeway in the Griffith Park area, CHP officials said.

No one wants to pay into an insurance policy, but we all know that if we don’t we could be liable for some serious damages in the event of a car accident. Auto insurance is one of those things most of us wish we didn’t have to buy — but we also know that it’s absolutely necessary. Because if you get in a car accident you or the other driver could be seriously injured.
